The first serious skiing accident occurred in Wagrain on Sunday morning. A 52-year-old German skier was skiing downhill in the Grafenberg ski area when an unidentified skier crossed his downhill run. The 52-year-old fell and suffered serious injuries, police said. The other skier continued without stopping. The investigation into the fugitive from the accident is ongoing.
A little later, while overtaking, two German skiers who were friends collided in the same ski area – a 52-year-old and a 34-year-old German. The older man fell and broke his collarbone. The 34-year-old was unharmed. According to the police, the alcohol test was positive for both skiers with 0.32 per thousand and 0.66 per thousand.
