The commissioners ordered, at the same time, the temporary stoppage of the provision of services, until the deficiencies are remedied, for 33 economic operators.
Horia Constantinescu: “It is unimaginable how, in the busiest area of Sibiu, there can be such deviations”
The head of the National Authority for Consumer Protection expressed his opinion about the controls in Sibiu. He says that he did not think that he could find such situations, especially in the center of Sibiu.
“The situations we faced in Sibiu, unfortunately, show two clearly wrong directions. On the one hand, the economic operators do not understand how to comply with the normative acts in force, on the other hand, our colleagues have carried out, until now, superficial control actions that have not helped either the consumer or the commercial activity of the verified one.
It is unimaginable how, in the most trafficked area of Sibiu, there can be such deviations with a high potential danger to consumer safety. I hope that this signal will fundamentally change the activity of our colleagues for the better”, declares Horia Constantinescu, ANPC president.
