At music festival Zwarte Cross, someone was seriously injured today due to a fall at a stunt attraction. According to the police, someone fell from “a height”. The victim was transferred to the trauma center in Enschede, the organization confirms.
The accident happened this afternoon around 3 p.m. at the attraction ‘Do Your Own Stunt’, reports Broadcasting Gelderland. In the part, someone – secured in a harness – makes a free fall from a high platform, the regional broadcaster writes. The section will remain closed for the rest of the weekend,
After the fall today, a trauma helicopter landed on the site. The victim was then transported by ambulance to the trauma center in Enschede. It is unclear how the accident happened. It is unknown how the victim is doing.
Victim support is available on site for people who witnessed the accident. The Forensic Investigation and the Dutch Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority are investigating what exactly happened.
