Mönchengladbach (dpa / lnw) – A cyclist was seriously injured in a collision with a car in the Wickrath district of Mönchengladbach. The man was flown to a special clinic in Krefeld by rescue helicopter in the early evening after first aid by an emergency doctor, the fire brigade said on Thursday. The identity of the seriously injured and the exact reasons for the collision were initially unclear. The police took over the investigation. Rheindahlener Strasse was completely closed for the duration of the rescue work.
