Against the former Austria Wien player and current Croatian U20 team boss Ognjen Vukojevic, serious accusations are made in his home country of Croatia domestic violence. This emerges from a newspaper report.
As reported by “Jutarni List”, the former midfielder, in a very drunk state, threatened some family members with death. As the paper continues to threaten, it is said to be his wife, sister and mother-in-law. A – not specified – family member reported the 36-year-old to the police for domestic violence.
At the request of the newspaper, the Croatian police confirmed an investigation into the former 55-times Croatian international. The seriousness of the allegations was also confirmed by law enforcement officers. As long as the investigation is ongoing, the police will not comment on the ongoing behavior.
Ognjen Vukojevic was under contract with Austria Vienna from 2015 to 2017 at the end of his career. The Croatian contributed two goals and four assists in 31 competitive matches. He is currently responsible for the Croatian U20 national team. A statement from the association is currently not available.
