Serious accident in Berlin: pedestrian dies on the way to the clinic | Regional

Berlin – Fatal accident in Berlin! A 56-year-old pedestrian was hit in a traffic accident on Kurt-Schumacher-Platz in Berlin-Reinickendorf on Monday evening. She died on the way to the hospital.

The accident occurred around 5:20 p.m. on Scharnweberstrasse just before Kurt-Schumacher-Platz in Berlin-Reinickendorf.

The force of the impact caused one of the BMW’s side mirrors to break off, sending debris flying several meters.

According to the fire department, the 56-year-old was so seriously injured that she had to be resuscitated on site by an emergency doctor. She was then transported to a hospital.

One Police spokesman According to her, she died during rescue attempts on the way to the clinic. The doctors there could only declare death.

Illegal solo racing?

As the police spokesman further announced, there was no evidence of an illegal car race. The five-year-old BMW belongs to the 20-year-old, so it was not rented for such a race as usual. Traffic police specialists are now reconstructing exactly how the serious accident happened.

More accidents last year

Just a few hours before the accident, Berlin’s Transport Senator Ute Bonde (57, CDU) presented a new campaign for more consideration in road traffic. Last year, the Berlin police counted 134,136 accidents – an increase of 3 percent! 33 people were killed.
