The accident happened between Karnobat and Yambol
A serious accident with two cars happened about an hour ago on AM “Trakia”, km 299, between Karnobat and Yambol in the direction of Sofia.
This was reported by eyewitnesses quoted by Flagman.bg. The police and fire department are on the scene, and ambulances brought two injured people to the hospital a little while ago. According to initial information, they are life-threatening.
The causes of the accident, which sent two cars into the ditch by the highway, are currently unknown and are being established. However, the blow was brutal, as the damage to the cars was serious. One, as can be seen from the footage, is practically completely crushed, while the other is lying on the ceiling in the bushes near the emergency lane.
According to currently unconfirmed information, the injured are military personnel. There are Military Police on site.
The traffic in this section, which will be heavily congested tomorrow due to the end of the weekend, is currently difficult and only takes place in the left speed lane. Warning signs have been posted and the area has been cordoned off with cones.
