Piding – On December 22nd, around 1:15 p.m., a serious traffic accident occurred on the A8 in the direction of Munich between the Bad Reichenhall and Anger junctions.

A 33-year-old Austrian drove his car in the right lane and quickly caught up with the car of a 34-year-old Salzburg woman. When he did the young woman wanted to overtake, he estimated the distance clearly too low and crashed into the left stern of the young lady’s car.
The collision made the Vehicles not insignificantly damagedso that both were no longer ready to drive and just got into the breakdown bay below. The damage will be on 7000 Euro figured.
When the young Austrian also drove into the breakdown bay to settle the damage, the Austrian accelerated and fled with the damaged vehicle towards Munich. After about two kilometers, however, the escape had to be due to the severe damage and it came to a stop in the right lane.
Fortunately, there was no further traffic accident.
When the patrol vehicles arrived, the reason for the escape was quickly identified. The 33 year old was heavily drunk. A Breath alcohol test on site resulted in a value of over 2.5 per mille. He also had two more at hand prohibited brass knuckles found.
The young man was then taken to the Bad Reichenhall hospital. A blood sample was taken there. In addition, the Driver’s license revoked. He is now being charged with various crimes. Here he has to work with a substantial fine, as well as one long driving license withdrawal calculate.
