Even if one may think so at first glance, the 38-year-old employee assures him, the role of internal auditor has nothing to do with the function of “policeman”.
An evolving training
After a Bachelor’s degree at the Faculty of Business Studies of the University of Geneva and a few internships in accounting, Mounir Makki started his career as an external auditor in a Big Four. “I was studying during the establishment of the Bologna system. I did a four-year degree. The Master’s offer at the time was not comparable to what is offered today, particularly in the field of accounting, finance and control. Nowadays, the usual course goes through a Master’s degree which brings together these three areas, ”specifies the employee. In 2015, he joined Vaudoise as a senior internal auditor and works mainly in the finance and asset management sector.
