The man was robbed for the first time in April 2022 in the Antwerp harbor in Purmerend. Under the threat of a firearm, he was forced to hand over his belongings in broad daylight. Video images on social media show how the man is threatened by two suspects in a parking lot at the Antwerp harbour. One is brandishing a gun, the other seems to be holding a knife.
In September of that year, the man was robbed again. This time from another Rolex watch.
The victim regularly wears Rolex watches and suspects that this has been noticed in the nightlife. A Rolex is a favorite loot among criminals. In addition to the watch, the robbers took Cartier glasses the first time and a precious necklace the second time.
In October, the victim was confronted with a robbery at home. His wife was abused. It is not known whether the robbers then succeeded in taking valuables with them.
The police have many images of all suspects and hope to receive tips to solve this series of crimes.
