Momek celebrated its 25th anniversary this weekend, both Friday and Saturday. Then the stage was set for a party at Meyergården Spektrum on Saturday night with nearly 500 guests. Gatsby was the theme and the guests who delivered found it suitable for hot 1920s looks. The Great Gatsby is a novel by the American author F. Scott Fitzgerald. It was first published in the United States in 1925. The book was made into a film in 1974 with Robert Redford and Mia Farrow in the lead roles, and again in 2013 with Leonardo DiCaprio, Carey Mulligan and Joel Edgerton. But in Mo i Rana, Momek’s employees were the stars of the evening 100 years after the release of The Great Gatsby. According to Momek’s management, they are anything but retro, but far-sighted, and it’s just a matter of moving forward because Momek Group president Wiggo Dalmo told those in attendance that life flies fast. It’s like driving a racing car with no brakes and Dalmo knows a couple of racing cars. After all, he is the Norwegian champion, as well as being 25 years old. But there was plenty of drinks for everyone this evening so the car could park well and several hours later the taxi industry got hectic.
