NEW YORK.- A serial attacker is believed to have assaulted two people in Brooklyn and fatally stabbed an old manwhose body was found in the elevator of his apartment building, police and sources said.
The terrifying series of events began between 1:00 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. (NYC) when a man hit a woman in Pacific Street y Third Avenue in Boerum Hill, the sources said.
One block away, in 134 Nevins Streetit is believed that the same attacker cut a woman in the thighauthorities said.

Then, shortly after 2:00 p.m., the body of a 83-year-old man stabbed to death in elevator from the 19th floor in 185 Nevins Streetthe police said.
The victim, who had sharp injuries to the neck and right arm, was declared dead at the scene.
The city medical examiner is expected to determine the cause of death.
