KOMPA.com – Eight four-wheeled vehicles were involved in a series of accidents on Pejagan (Brebes) – Pemalang Toll Road, KM 253, Central Java, Sunday (9/18/2022) afternoon.
The accident resulted in the death of one person and 19 people injured and treated in hospital.
The head of the Pejagan-Pemalang Tol Road (PPTR) branch, Ian Dwinanto, said the preliminary report received suspected that the accident was caused by the smoke from the burnt grass in the rice fields adjacent to the toll road.

“Information obtained, the accident is suspected because there is a lot of smoke from the burning rice fields near the toll road, so visibility is reduced,” Ian said when contacted by reporters.
