A joint meeting on improvement issues was held in Chernihiv region protection of the population that lives in the border areas and is subjected to artillery and mortar shelling.
The event, which was held to fulfill the task of the President of Ukraine, was attended by the commander of the United Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Serhiy Naev, the commander of the troop group, Brigadier General Dmytro Krasilnikov, the head of the Chernihiv Regional Military Administration, Vyacheslav Chaus, the head of the Chernihiv City Military Administration Dmytro Bryzhynskyi and representatives of state authorities.
As Lieutenant General Serhii Naev reported, during the meeting, ways of solving the issues of reducing losses among the civilian population and countering the destruction of private buildings and infrastructure facilities were determined.
– The main task is that our citizens should be safe and feel that the military command and state authorities on the ground will definitely protect them in case of any threats, – the commander emphasized. – We understand that the enemy has not abandoned his intentions to inflict fire damage on civilian objects. Therefore, we need to do everything possible to ensure that the local population living in the bordering Chernihiv region does not suffer from enemy shelling. We have identified specific measures that we will implement in the future.
