How can you not remember SgtI from Friendswho deservedly triumphed in the 2016 edition? He hasn’t been seen for some time now, however, what happened to him? What is he doing now?
Many talents and winners have followed one another over the course of the various editions, starting as far back as 2002 when it was called with the first name of Saranno Famosi, in the most famous talent show on Italian television, i.e. Friends. And one of them is – of course – Sergio Sylvestre? But what did he do?
He is a singer gifted – undoubtedly – with an immense and absolutely brilliant talent. A talent that led him to victory in the now distant 2016 edition of Friends of Maria De Filippi and then he participated in the Big Al category San Remo Festival. Then many successful singles that have climbed the hits of the most listened to and downloaded songs from the Net in no time at all.
His was a very interesting career that made many dream. Sergio Sylvestre, the boy of mixed origins, Haitian father and mother originally from Mexico, lived in Los Angeles California, therefore different cultures flow in his blood which led him to open his mind and to experiment a lot on a musical level.
It owes everything to Friends
In 2012 it arrived in our country for a nice trip to discover Italy. In less than no time here he found a deep human warmth and a great welcome, elements that prompted him to visit the site, mostly in Puglia and Salento. Thus you began to take your first steps in the world of Italian music by performing in some of the most famous lidos such as the samsara, but he felt that he also needed more. And so she decided to participate in the selections of Friends. He is taken and joins the blue team led by That’s J-Ax. And it is – among other things – with the latter, after the great victory, that he made the single Turn up the volume. His first ep, Big guyit was a real success.
It disappeared when it was at its peak
For him there was no lack of great satisfaction and collaborations with other greats of music, such as the song together with the rapper from Salerno Rocco Caccia, became the film’s end credits song for Disney Oceania. Sergio then – certainly – did not stop and in 2017 he participated in the San Remo Festival with the song written together with Giorgia, with youwith which it is placed in sixth place. Shortly thereafter she released her first album bearing his name.
And then we started to never hear from him again. Why did he exit the scene when he was out superscript?
egr Sergio these past few years have not been easy since he has had some moments of deep crisis which led him to step aside and decide to stay well away from the spotlight. Furthermore – above all – the lockdown period was very heavy for him. Among other things, a particularly unpleasant episode happened to him in 2020 in full swing Pandemic. Do you know which one?
Everything happened during the eagerly awaited final of the Italian Cup between Naples and Juventus, played at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome: the singer found himself singing the national anthem, but what emerged was a somewhat hesitant and unconvincing performance – above all – as regards the words. The controversies are not – certainly – immediate and very copious. The day after the performance Sergio immediately apologized to tsaying that he had had some kind of emotional block due – primarily – to the sadness caused by the lack of an audience due to the restrictions.
But, despite the bad times and the frustration that has seen him disappear from the scene, he has continued to make music, so fans can rest assured, indeed they can really rejoice that he is returning to the scene with an important collaboration with Room9. Soon he will let us listen to new pieces, singers in English.
