SEVILLE – Spanish footballer Sergio Ramos’ house was robbed during Wednesday’s Champions League match, in which his Sevilla team drew 1-1 with Leipzig.

According to the police, the thieves took luxury clothes, accessories and cash. Ramos’ wife and four children who were in the house at the time of the robbery escaped unharmed, according to the media. The famous defender was already robbed 11 years ago when he played for Real Madrid.

Ramos, 37, returned to Sevilla in the summer after 18 years after leaving Paris Saint-Germain. According to the media, he preferred Sevilla to a lucrative offer from Saudi Arabia’s al-Ittihad, who acquired his former Real teammate Karim Benzema.

In the colors of the “White Ballet”, Ramos won 22 trophies, including five titles and four triumphs in the Champions League. With the Spanish national team, he won the World Championship in 2010 and two European championships. With PSG, he added another league title to his rich collection.
