The Spanish newspaper El Confidencial continues to publish leaked conversations between Ramos and Rubiales, the football president of Spain.
Earlier this week, they published a conversation in which it was revealed that Ramos asked Rubiales for help in winning the 2019 Ballon d’Orand now it is the 36-year-old’s complaint against the judges that comes to light.

According to The confidential Ramos is said to have sent a message on WhatsApp to Rubiales in which he complains to the referee after an incident in a Barcelona match, and asked the president to take action.
– Rubi, we are starting to get very worried about the VAR problem, especially with Barça It is an absolute shame and the referees do not have the nerve to do so. Did you see the offense from Luis Suarez on the goalkeeper at 2-1? It’s a joke, Ramos is said to have written after he thought Barcelona got help from the referee in a match they beat Leganés 3-1 in 2019.
Rubiales is said to have answered the then Real Madrid captain the next day.
– Good afternoon, Sergio. You are the captain of the national team, you have hundreds or thousands of matches behind you and better than anyone else you understand that sometimes there are different opinions about things. As you well know, I do not interfere in these matters. We work from day to day so that the judicial body has more tools and their efficiency is better.
Ramos responded in a resigned way.
– Very politically correct, congratulations. I was hoping for a personal opinion on the Barça thing from yesterday, because it’s a scandal and now they’re going to win the league somehow. I understand your position. A big hug.
El Confidencial has published several leaked conversations between Spanish football profiles earlier this year, and the biggest headlines created the Barcelona star Gerard Piqué.

Expert in Spanish football, Petter Veland, has closely followed the leaks that have appeared in the media.
Veland says the information about Ramos fits into a long list of special situations he has been involved in, but is still aware that this does not look quite right for the Spaniard.
– It is not the right way to do it, that a Real Madrid captain should send a message to the president of the football association and try to influence the way the refereeing should be, he says to Nettavisen.

To put it on a Norwegian scale, Veland thinks it can almost be compared to this:
– It is almost as if Markus Henriksen should call Lise Klaveness and say that “now it has been a long time since we have been punished at Lerkendal”. If it had come out, it would have been a scandal, says the expert.
He continues:
– In many ways it is not directly translated what happens, but you then have the captain of a top team who turns to the football president to get a change in the refereeing in the league you participate in. It is not inside.
Ramos left Real Madrid last summer after 16 seasons in the royal white suit. He signed for PSG, but his first season at the French top club was ruined by injuries.
