The debut of the Spanish footballer Sergio Ramos in the jersey of Paris Germain is postponed again. The management of the French club announced that the 35-year-old defender, who is recovering from a thigh muscle injury, is still training only individually and could join his teammates in about ten days.

Ramos said goodbye to Real Madrid in July after 16 long years and signed up for PSG for two years as a free agent. However, a muscle injury caused his first start behind the Paris team to be delayed.

According to initial forecasts, the experienced tracker was to make his debut in Friday’s league match against Angers, but the vice-champion of Ligue 1 informed on Thursday that he will not be able to do so by this date. The team will also be missing in Tuesday’s duo of the Champions League against Leipzig and in the league duel with Marseille (October 24).

“I’m convinced that Sergio will be back in his best shape. He’s definitely bothered that he can’t train with his teammates and pause for so long, but he’s mentally strong and struggling as best he can.” PSG coach Mauritius Pochettina was quoted by AFP. Ramos last played a competitive match in May when he played for Real in the LM semifinals against Chelsea.
