Red Bull Racing driver Sergio Perez called on his fans in Mexico to respect Max Verstappen.
After winning the US Grand Prix, the Dutch driver was booed during the podium ceremony. Red Bull sports consultant Helmut Marko blamed this on Mexican fans who actively supported their compatriot Perez throughout the weekend in Austin.

Fearing that the team, particularly Verstappen, could face a hostile atmosphere at his home race, Perez made a plea to fans: “For me, Mexico is the most important weekend of the season and I can’t wait for the home race. The support in Austin this weekend was crazy, so I can’t even imagine what the Mexico race will be like. Surely very special. But I want Mexico to support the whole Red Bull team, not just me.”
