The frustrated presidential candidate for Unión por la Patria and former Minister of Economy, Sergio Massamet this Saturday with about twenty Buenos Aires mayors of the Renovator Front. Massa, Galmarini and the community leaders discussed, among other topics, the situation in the province of Buenos Aires and the influence of co-participation funds, at a time when Javier Milei’s government advocates austerity on the part of the State. In turn, they expressed their concern about the impact that the increase in rates, fuel, prepaid and education will have on the middle sectors in the coming months.
Meanwhile, the participating mayors, who provided details of the conclave through social networks, ratified their willingness to participate in the January 24 mobilization called by the CGT and communicated their decision not to deduct the day of strike for the workers. Likewise, they anticipated that they will talk with local producers and legislators to reject agricultural withholdings, among other measures that affect municipalities.
The mayor of the municipality of San Fernando, Juan Andreotti, expressed: “The Mayors of the Frente Renovador met with Sergio Massa and Malena Galmarini to express our commitment to accompany on January 24 those harmed by the Omnibus Law and the DNU, now the CGT.” For his part, the communal chief of San Andrés de Giles, Miguel Gesualdi, stated: “The 20 mayors of the FR met with Sergio Massa and Malena Galmarini.”
Gesualdi added: “We reject the increase in withholdings and we ratify marching on the 24th together with the CGT and sectors harmed by the Omnibus/DNU Law without discounting the day of strike for the workers NO to the stoppage of the works.” The mayor of General Las Heras, Javier Osuna, stressed: “The table of Renewal Mayors met with Sergio Massa and ratified the commitment to march on the 24th, to express our rejection of the DNU and the Omnibus Law, which aims to generate structural changes without a deep parliamentary discussion. We accompany the CGT.”
