The 2018/19 season is an exception in Sergej Stas’ career in Germany, as he was only active for one season in Breisgau. Before that season with the Wolves, there was a certain consistency in the CV of the 93-time DEL player: three years in Bremerhaven followed two each in Wolfsburg and Bayreuth.
And in hall? The left-handed shooter has been under contract for three years since moving to the Saale in the summer of 2019 (“My family feels very comfortable here.”) and will now be entering his fourth season, the attacker has signed new working papers. “The management continues to give me the necessary trust,” said Stas, who justified the trust placed in him on the ice – which can also be read on his jersey: In his debut season in the Bulls dress, there was no extra letter on the front, so graced in the following year already an “A” the chest. In the past season, Stas finally took over from Kai Schmitz after the injury-related career end of his “C” and led the team as captain to the first championship title in nine years.
A title to which he contributed 39 points (15 goals) in 36 main round appearances. Overall, the personal vita of the number 72 in Halle so far shows 127 competitive games with 125 points in the Bulls jersey, 44 times he appeared as a goalscorer (seven times overnumbered, once undernumbered as well as five leading and eight winning goals). . Values that Stas will continue to expand in the new season – always with one big goal in mind. “Our mission with the club is not yet complete,” Stas alludes to the DEL2 promotion with the Saale Bulls. “I am firmly convinced that we will make it here.”
