UFC heavyweight No. 3 Sergei Pavlovich (31, Russia) wrote a new history of 6 consecutive 1st round KO (TKO) finishes.

On the 23rd (Korean time), Pavlovic defeated 4th place Curtis Blaze (33, USA) in the UFC Fight Night main event held at UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. Knocked it down with a punch TKO in 3 minutes and 8 seconds of the first round.

With this, Pavlovic achieved six consecutive first round KO (TKO) victories for the first time in the UFC. Former UFC light heavyweight champion Chuck Liddell (54, USA) also set a record of 7 consecutive KO (TKO) victories right in front of his eyes. His career record in mixed martial arts (MMA) was 18 wins and 1 loss. His only loss was his UFC debut against Alistair Overeem (Netherlands) in November 2018.

In the beginning, he struggled against Blaze’s right hand counter, but Pavlovic overturned the atmosphere by getting a knockdown with an overhand hook. After that, the game ended with a heavy hit following a simple jab.

Pavlovic said he would wait for the winner of a title fight between UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones (USA) and former champion Stipe Miocic (USA). After the match, he said, “What I want is a championship belt. It’s been a dream since I was young, so I want to get a belt.”

Heavyweight No. 1 Cyril Ganet (France) lost to Jones at UFC 285 last March. After defeating the Blaze, Pavlovic’s chances of being picked as the next title contender increased.
