Sergei Nasibov was considered one of the most beautiful actors in Soviet times. He now he hardly ever plays, having gone into the shadows. However, the artist sublimates his creative beginning in a different way.

Nasibov almost every day pleases subscribers on the Web with his paintings. The main characters in his paintings are figures of naked women in the style of Picasso. His works are exhibited in galleries from time to time (now there is a proposal to organize an exhibition in St. Petersburg), but Sergey considers this business exclusively for the soul.
“When I moved to America (in 1988) I painted houses for a living,” the actor told the Born in the USSR program in 2015.
He left, being a bachelor, without much fuss. So it happened. However, Sergei Nasibov is not married even now. With his second wife, Vetta, a graduate of the Bolshoi Ballet School, Sergei divorced, maintaining friendship and respect. He regularly visits California, where he has a home left to visit his younger daughter Anastasia and his ex-wife.
– We divorced Vetta, but she’s still my wife. Ex … – Nasibov admitted evasively.
Recall that the artist’s first wife was Ekaterina Durova. Every year Nasibov celebrates his birthday and mourns the day of his departure (Lev Durov’s daughter died in 2019 at the age of 60). With his classmate at GITIS, Ekaterina Durova, Sergei also parted amicably and both spoke well of each other, but at the same time Ekaterina set one condition – not to disturb her daughter Ekaterina. So did Sergei Nasibov. But upon his return to Moscow, he began to communicate a lot with Catherine, then with her children.
– I have two daughters – Katya and Nastya, – he said.
But about his great love – the legendary theater and film actress Natalya Gundareva – Sergey does not apply. Questions about their stormy romance and three years of life together are evasive. For example, in one interview she put it this way:
– Natasha Gundareva is not a closed topic. But what to say? Yes, she’s a wonderful actress and a very vulnerable person.
And to the journalist’s question: “Did you have a great love?” Nasibov replied: “Let’s not turn our conversation into an Indian melodrama.”
By the way, Sergei Nasibov refutes the popular version of the newspaper that Gundareva took her husband from Lev Durov’s daughter and for her sake left her husband Viktor Koreshkov.
“Both Natasha and I were already divorced at the time of our intimacy,” the actor commented.
He also denied another rumor – about the hatred between the favorites of the all-powerful artistic director of the Mayakovsky Theater Tatyana Doronina and Natalya Gundareva.
“There was nothing like it. Normal relationship. Goncharov also loved Gundareva and loved Doronina as an actress. They were very different. But he loved them both and staged plays about them. Later I worked with Tatyana Vasilievna in a different capacity: an actress in her theater, the Gorky Moscow Art Theater, where she invited me. It worked out interestingly. You starred in the production of Roman Viktyuk,-Sergey Nasibov told EG.
Sergei Nasibov occasionally acts in films, but is more involved in painting and communicating with relatives. The other day, actor Stas Sadalsky reviewed the American TV series Motherland, in which Sergei Nasibov also starred, and wrote: “Sergey is a chic artist. I was amazed and jumped in surprise on the screen.
Stanislav Sadalsky was friends with Sergei Nasibov and Natalya Gundareva during their romance. Sadalsky, however, accompanied Gundareva on her last journey with tears in her eyes. Sergei Nasibov at that time lived in America.
In female faces in Sergei Nasibov’s paintings, the features of Natalia Gundareva, Ekaterina Durova and other women are visible. But it is difficult to distinguish one from the other. Yes, and is it necessary?
