– How do you feel about the speech that Sergei Karasev would occasionally let the threads of the game slip out of his hands?

– Unfortunately, it was not a very successful game for Sergei. Already in the first or second minute he could show Barinov and Vorobyov yellow cards. But as a result of the tactic of not doing this first the game became a massacre. Then there was a moment when Mostovoy had to show his card. In the second half, no fouls were called against Batrakov in the kill zone. There were many moments like that. In general, the game was out of the referee’s control.

– One of the most debated points is whether Batrakov should have received a second yellow card.

– The player runs at high speed and hits the opponent’s leg. It’s always a yellow card. Yes, in this game she would have been his second. And someone might say that the second yellow is too simple for such a game. But why do you care? If this is a card, it must be shown. And if it’s second, that’s the player’s problem. In my opinion, the player deserved the cards.

– So the question of interpretation arises again?

– There is a very large gray area when it is possible to show cards and when they should not be shown. As a result, after the game many people were dissatisfied, because no one understood what the main line was in this particular game. Don’t you bring yellow ones at all? But in some cases the cards were still shown. However, Karasev’s inconsistency and everything that happened on the field led to what happened, Lapochkin told Match TV.
