Sergeant Abdul Aziz Al-Farih Martyred in the Line of Duty, Director of Public Security Conveys Condolences

The Director of Public Security, Lieutenant General Muhammad Al Bassami, conveyed the condolences of the Minister of Interior, Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud, to the family and relatives of the martyr of duty, Sergeant Abdul Aziz Al-Farih, an employee of Public Security, who was killed after being injured while performing his duty in arresting a wanted person in drug trafficking cases in Rafha.

During his visit today (Tuesday) to the martyr’s family in Rafha, Lieutenant General Muhammad Al-Bassamy stressed that the efforts and sacrifices made by the security men to maintain the security of society and protect it from the danger of crime stems from their belief in their responsibilities towards their religion, country and leadership.

While the martyr’s family expressed their thanks and appreciation to the leadership, stressing their pride in his martyrdom in the field of pride, dignity and honor.

The Director of Public Security had visited 3 security men who were injured while performing their duties in the incident, and conveyed to them the greetings of Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud, and his wishes for a speedy recovery.

For their part, the injured expressed their thanks to the leadership for its support and concern for the security men, stressing that the injury will not discourage them from continuing to work alongside their colleagues in the field to continue the security efforts in the war on drugs and the pursuit of smugglers and promoters.

It is worth noting that Sergeant Abdul Aziz Al-Farih entered the register of martyrs and those who made sacrifices for the homeland, after he was killed during a raid on a wanted person by the Anti-Narcotics Agency, at dawn on Monday, in Rafha Governorate, in the north of the Kingdom.

In an operation that left Al-Fraih a martyr for the homeland, the security authorities managed to kill the attacker in the operation, while another was arrested during a raid on one of the dens, which were used to promote the scourge of drugs.

And, “May God have mercy on him, he used to spend most of his time at work, especially after the crackdown on drugs. He spent nearly 15 years in the security service, and worked diligently and sincerely to serve his religion and country. He is married and has two sons and a daughter.”

And the name of Abdulaziz Al-Farih had topped the social networking sites, after the news of his martyrdom spread during that operation, at the hands of treachery, during a raid on wanted persons in drug cases, and comments poured in that included prayers for him with mercy and forgiveness.
