This Monday, March 27, Jacques Pessis received Robert Charlebois in The Keys to a Life on South Radio. The 78-year-old singer is in full promotion of his new show entitled CharleboisScope which will take place at the Grand Rex on April 1 and 2 in order to celebrate 60 years of career.
In six decades, Robert Charlebois has seen many artists, including Serge Gainsbourg with whom he maintained a friendship. The Quebec artist was asked about his relationship with the father of Charlotte Gainsbourg. He is look back on times gone by with the interpreter Javanese.
“Charlotte was small. She must have been 7, 8 years old. I went to Serge’s then there was the first Yamaha piano. It was a little piano with the keyboard moving (…) He took me to places where he was always received with open arms. I never saw him fall Serge« remembers Robert Charlebois.

The crazy drunken evenings of the singer in the 70s
The Quebec artist remembered the festive side of Serge Gainsbourg, who had made an erotic proposal to a celebrity. The singer was best known for his heavy drinking. “I don’t know what his secret was, but there is one, because it’s mathematically impossible for all this alcohol to fit in the same little guy! » he quips.
