In a context of ever-worsening medical desertification, the arrival of a new doctor in Sérent looks like an event. Dr. Pauti took up his duties at the beginning of the week in the medical office where Dr. De Raynal already works.

“Started in January 2021, our search for a general practitioner saw its culmination on Tuesday March 15 with the installation of Doctor Pauti near Dr De Reynal who arrived in Sérent in 2018. This installation had become essential following the retirement of the second doctor”, comments Céline Olivier, deputy mayor. The mayor, Yves Hutter echoed this arrival in October

Doctor Pauti practiced until then in the Paris region, but she has Breton and even Morbihan family roots, her paternal family being from the Auray-Carnac region where she spent all her childhood and adolescence. From the capital she had a dream: to live in the countryside, a project she planned to realize as soon as her children were independent…

When the time came, she started looking for a house in Morbihan where she had been spending her summers for two years on the coast. But it was inland that she wanted to find a foothold and it was in Sérent that she found a house. “I wanted to find a new rhythm of life, lighten my professional schedule. I decided to divide my time between my practice in Paris and my residence in Sérent…”, explains the doctor.

Very quickly, the elected officials of Sérent, but also Doctor De Raynal whispered in her ear that it would be a super good idea for her to come and settle completely in Sérent. So, the idea caught on and Dr. Pauti finally decided to carry out his country life project to the end. No more back and forth between Paris and Sérent and the fatigue that goes with it.

From now on, a few minutes are enough for her to go from her home to her office, which she has completely revamped to make it a warm and friendly place. “I don’t like medical practices that look like medical practices,” she smiles, declaring herself worried about the extent of the medical desertification that she observes in the territory.

His first patients from Sérentais appreciate his life choices. “This offer complements that of nurses’ offices, dentists, physiotherapists, osteopaths, pedicurists, speech therapists and also pharmacies”, insists Céline Olivier.
