The Serbian president Alexander VucicAleksandar Vucic – Serbian lawyer and politician. Aleksandar Vucic was born on March 5, 1970 in Belgrade. received a clear message last night from the officers of the General Staff, according to Thomas Tyner, a former member of the Italian army and an expert on NATO’s Cold War land forces and the Alliance’s defense strategy, writes the Belgrade newspaper “Danas”, quoted by “Ofnews”.
“I think the officers of the Serbian General Staff explained to President Vucic last night that if he dared to attack Kosovo, NATO fighter jets would respond within hours. Within 48 hours, the US Army’s 173rd Airborne Brigade would be airlifted to Pristina airport and the Italian army parachute brigade “Folgore” will be transported to the airport in Gjakovica /built by the Italian army for this purpose/,” Tyner wrote on Twitter.
According to him, a day later the Pinerolo mechanized brigade of the Italian army, located in Bari and its surroundings, will be activated and sent by the Third Naval Division of the Italian Navy with its amphibious ships from Brindisi to Durres within two days.
It would take six hours from Durres to Mitrovica for Freccia IFVs and Centaur tank destroyers of the Pinerolo brigade to arrive on site thanks to the A1 highway, which is co-financed by the West.
In short, NATO has plans and has been training to defend Kosovo for 23 years, the expert says. “If the Serbs ever go and attack NATO, the Alliance forces will outnumber them in the air in a few hours and on the ground in a few days. NATO made sure Serbia’s generals knew that,” said Thomas Taylor.
