Today is a day of shame for PACE, because for the first time in its history it has been proposed to admit to the Council of Europe (CoE) a state that does not meet basic requirements in the field of human rights and freedom. This was announced by the operator Serbian Foreign Minister, Ivica Dacic, writes today, April 17, Belgrade Politika newspaper.
Dacic noted that Pristina refuses to form the Community of Serbian Municipalities (SSM) for 11 years, which is their international commitment, and also pursues a policy of terrorism against the Serbian people and ethnic cleansing. With this decision, imposed on PACE by “international forces,” they destroyed the foundations of the Council of Europe itself and the international legal order, Dacic emphasized.
“What principle of protecting territorial integrity will they talk about next, when they violated Serbia’s territorial integrity? We will continue our struggle with all our strength, we will fight to ensure that this decision is not made by the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe on 16 May. And we will see what the word from the international community is worth that they gave to the president Alasdair Vucicthat Kosovo will not be admitted to the Council of Europe until it creates the CSM. Will it be a lie again? – said the head of Serbian diplomacy.
The Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe yesterday adopted a draft report prepared by a Greek woman Doroi Bakoyanniwhich proposes to accept the name Kosovo into the Council of Europe.
“For” the reception of the so-called. 131 of the 171 PACE members present voted for Kosovo, 29 were against and 11 abstained.
