/ world today news/ Serbia can become the “economic tiger of Southeast Europe” if we carry out economic reforms”, said Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic at the World Economic Forum in Davos.
In an author’s text “The Future of the Serbian Economy”, published on the forum’s official website, Vučić wrote: “The structural and economic reforms we are carrying out are key to economic growth. If we manage to do it, the first results show that Serbia can become the economic tiger of Southeast Europe”.
The Prime Minister notes that despite the fact that Serbia is at the crossroads between East and West, the country strives to create an economic and social system based on Western standards, while simultaneously developing relations with its Eastern partners in the sphere of trade and investment.
“We want to make a quantum leap in terms of growth, to increase the main sources of growth – physical human capital and technology,” Vucic also points out.
During the economic forum, Vucici intends to hold at least 40 bilateral meetings with politicians, economists, business representatives and experts. /TASS
