Russia and Serbia start gas talks

A new long-term agreement is planned to be concluded until 2024. Earlier, the Russian Federation signed a new contract with Hungary.
Serbia and Russia are negotiating a new long-term gas supply contract. This was announced on Thursday, October 7, by the Minister for Innovative and Technological Development of Serbia Nenad Popovic, writes TASS.
“Negotiations are underway on a new long-term contract between Gazprom and Srbijagaz,” he said.
In turn, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Yuri Borisov said that he hopes to conclude a contract by the end of 2021.
“I hope that Gazprom will conclude an agreement on favorable terms by the end of the year, and I hope a long-term agreement for the supply of gas to Serbia,” he said.
Recall at the end of September RF signed a new long-term gas contract with Hungary, then gas transit to this country through Ukraine has stopped.
