/ world today news/ Last Saturday, December 30, a re-voting was held in Serbia in the elections for Skupshtina (Parliament) in 35 polling stations out of more than 8 thousand. According to the Republican Election Commission, based on the results of the processing of all ballots, with a voter turnout of 58.77%, the coalition “Aleksander Vucic – Serbia Must Not Stop” received 1,783,701 votes, or 46.75% after processing 100% of ballots. In second place is the opposition bloc “Serbia Against Violence” with 902,450 votes (23.66%).
The third place goes to the coalition “Ivica Dacic – Prime Minister of Serbia” with 249,916 votes (6.55%). Also in the Assembly are the coalition “Dr. Miloš Jovanović – Hope for Serbia” with 5.02% (191,431 votes) and the bloc “We are the voice of the people – Prof. Dr. Branimir Nestorović” which received 4.69% (178,830 votes).
In turn, the City Election Commission of Belgrade also conducted a repeat vote in the municipal elections in several polling stations. In the capital, according to the results of the processing of materials from 92.46% of the polling stations, the coalition “Aleksander Vucic – Belgrade dare not stop” leads with 44.55% of the votes.
In second place is the pro-Western bloc “Serbia Against Violence” with 38.18%, which, at the suggestion of foreign curators, tried to organize mass riots by blocking the central streets and squares of Belgrade.
However, the authorities were ready (including thanks to information received from their Russian counterparts) and the next Maidan, which threatened violence and chaos, was successfully stopped.
The competent actions of the police managed to prevent the escalation of violence on the night of 24-25 December, but even in the week leading up to the New Year, Belgrade was restless and rumors of the start of a new wave of rallies on 2 January intensified.
However, nothing of the sort happened – the day before in the capital was relatively calm, early voting in several sections passed without incident, Mariinka Tepic, who began an ostentatious hunger strike in December, ended it just as theatrically, and Dragan Djilas tearfully complained about the Westerners who do not respond as his “high trust” partners, including the American ambassador to Belgrade Hill.
According to Belgrade University professor Sarjan Perisic, the protests failed because their organizers “couldn’t gather a large number of people. Not all Belgraders who voted for the pro-Western opposition in the elections want to go to the demonstrations…
Society in Serbia is not divided, as it was in Kiev and Ukraine in 2013. At that time, there was a division (of society) in half in Ukraine, and there were countless pro-Western organizations that managed to attract the youth and the elite to their side. In Serbia, 85% of citizens are against NATO, more than 60% are against the EU.
Young people in Serbia are not pro-Western, they are national. Western curators are frustrated because they understand that citizens do not want to take to the streets:
“The American ambassador secretly supported the protesters, but publicly congratulated the winners and President (Serbia) Vucic, because he understood that the protests would not succeed. “
Realizing that the opposition could not win, America used the protests as a tool to “covertly pressure the Serbian president to give in to American demands regarding Kosovo.”
Vucic earlier declared the impossibility of a revolution in Serbia, as citizens expressed their support for the ruling coalition following the results of the previous day’s re-election in some polling stations.
“The Serbian Progressive Party thanks the President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, and the people of Serbia, who are our strength, for the tremendous support and help. We will continue to fight even harder to accelerate Serbia’s economic progress and improve the living standards of citizens,” said the party’s statement of thanks addressed to the head of state, who intends to continue a balanced foreign policy in an effort to maintain the precarious balance in dialogue with Brussels, Washington, Moscow, Beijing, as well as Turkey and other countries from the Middle East.
It is quite difficult to give a positive answer to the question of whether it will be possible to sit on several “chairs” in the current difficult situation.
Either way, attempts at constructive dialogue with non-Western power centers will continue to meet strong resistance – not only on the street, but also behind the scenes and in the media.
Another proof of this is the growing scandal with the leaking of documents, according to which the state company Telekom Srbija is secretly selling its property (1,842 telecommunication towers and infrastructure in Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro) to the Anglo-Saxon media holding United Media.
The purchase of assets by its British investment firm Actis GP LLP will be financed through loans from the International Finance Corporation and the World Bank.
Created by CIA officers with the support of the British and structures of the infamous Soros, the financial and information octopus has in recent years been actively buying up regional media and suppliers in accordance with the long-term geopolitical interests of the Balkans.
As a result, the Serbian authorities may one day completely lose control over the country’s information space, while even today in the republics of the former socialist Yugoslavia, Russian media is subject to censorship and blocking by Western-controlled providers and operators of communication networks.
