Ponorogo – At least 4 traders in Serag Market, Kesugihan Village, Pulung District, Ponorogo Regency were reported to have contracted dengue fever (DB). Some of them are still undergoing treatment at the hospital, some have gone home.

“There are 4 in total in this market. Including my son who also contracted dengue fever,” said one of the traders, Warino (56), Monday (27/12/2021).

He said his son is still being treated at the Regional General Hospital (RSUD) dr Harjono. It’s been 5 days of treatment, with 7 months pregnant condition.

“Yes, it started to rain quite a lot, lo. Then many traders were affected by dengue fever,” he said.

Warino hopes that there will be action from the Ponorogo District Health Office (Dinkes). Such as fogging assistance for Serag Market. “He said that if it was infected, it should be fogged. So that it doesn’t cause casualties,” he explained.

Meanwhile, another trader, Elsa Nungki, explained that his shop had closed. Because the mother named Yayuk Sri Rahayu contracted dengue and had to be treated at the Darmayu Hospital.

“So it was closed because someone had DB. I know that DB started with a fever, cold sweat. I was taken to the hospital for a laboratory check, and it turned out that the platelets had dropped,” he explained.

He admitted that according to the doctor, normal platelets were above 150 thousand. But at that time the platelets were 70 thousand. “Yes, I want there to be fooging. So that there are no casualties,” he concluded.
