September
Am 18. September closes the central vaccination center in the exhibition hall in Freiburg, whose director Daniel Strowitzki draws a positive balance: “We are unlikely to be proud that we have achieved almost 500,000 vaccinations in the last 9 months Baden-Wuerttemberg. “

In the federal election on 26. September Chantal Kopf gets the direct mandate for the Greens in the constituency of Freiburg. Matern von Marschall from the CDU shows himself to be a fair loser: “Of course you are sad, but on the other hand I have always had a humility in front of this wonderful democracy, which also includes changes in the majority.”

October
Am October 7th SC Freiburg is playing in the new Eurpa-Park Stadium for the first time – and wins 3-0 against FC St. Pauli. 150,000 SC fans were allowed to watch live in the stadium. “It can do something, but it doesn’t have the flair of the Dreisam Stadium,” says a fan. Some SC players are also still unfamiliar with the new stadium. For Nils Petersen, the home game felt more like an away game.

away October 18 After a long time, schoolchildren in Baden-Württemberg are allowed to sit in their seats again without a mask. There is no longer a mask requirement in the classroom. The children are happy: “Because you got really hot under the mask and it was mostly annoying.”
November
The Breisgau fools guild has on 8. November for 11.11. planned face-to-face event canceled. The reason is the current corona situation. “Our business idea is humor and cheerfulness and that doesn’t quite fit together,” says the fools guild.

Since 13. November Trains are rolling again in the upper Elz Valley between Waldkirch and Elzach – wagons of the Elz Valley Railway in the new white, yellow and black look. The now fully electrified Elztalbahn is the last section in the new network of the Breisgau S-Bahn.

December
Am 3rd of December The ski season begins on the snow-covered Feldberg, which inspires ski and snowboard fans. “It’s great – taking the first fresh snow with me straight away.”

In the last home game of the preliminary round on December 19th SC Freiburg defeated their opponent Bayer Leverkusen 2-1. The team of coach Christian Streich thrilled the 750 fans and is now spending the winter on a Champions League pitch.
