A few days after the twentieth anniversary of the attacks of 11 September 2001, the judicial authorities in New York have announced that two other victims of the attack on the Twin Towers have been identified. The New York Medical Examiner’s Office announced the identification of Dorothy Morgan, an insurance employee in the City of Hempstead, and a man whose family members have asked to keep their identity confidential. They were listed as the 1,646 and 1,647 victims of the terrorist attack.
“Twenty years ago we promised the families of World Trade Center victims to do whatever it takes, for as long as it takes, to identify their loved ones, and with these new identifications, we continue to fulfill that sacred obligation,” said the head of the New York City Law Department, Barbara A. Sampson. “No matter how long it has been since September 11, 2001, we will never forget it and we are committed to using all the tools at our disposal to ensure that all those who have disappeared can be reunited with their families.”
