The next playable character in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is none other than Sephiroth. The villain from Final Fantasy VII joins the character gallery already in December, but Nintendo has not yet set a final release date.
Cloud, which is already available in Smash Ultimate, will thus be followed by its arch-enemy. Of course, Sephiroth poses with his giant sword, which he uses in the trailer to spear Mario – but only almost.
Exactly how the one-winged angel will work in battle, Nintendo has not revealed either. Towards the end of the trailer – which you can see above – we get a glimpse of him in his Safer ∙ Sephiroth form.
