Sep Vanmarcke switches to Israel Start-Up Nation: “He brings the winning spirit” | Cycling

Sep Vanmarcke left Lotto-NL Jumbo at the end of 2016 for Cannondale and successors EF Education First.

The West-Flemish now leaves Jonathan Vaughters’ stable for a period of 3 seasons at Israel Start-Up Nation.

“He is a strong man for the classics who brings the winning spirit to our squad,” said team owner Sylvan Adams.

“My goal is to win the Tour of Flanders or Paris-Roubaix in the coming years”, adds Vanmarcke himself.

“I chose this team because this team is growing. In a few years time this team has grown from a small team to a formation in the WorldTour. They aim high and I do that too.”

“They have built a strong group for years to come. I am happy to be part of this.”

Sep Vanmarcke joins the list of acquisitions such as Chris Froome, Daryl Impey, Michael Woods, Alessandro De Marchi, Patrick Bevin and Carl Fredrik Hagen.
