Mexico City, The Secretary of Public Education, Mario Delgado, led this Saturday the deployment of educational personnel to support the cleaning work of public schools in Guerrero affected by the hurricane John.
In the morning, Delgado received volunteer public servants from the agency, as well as from the Work Training Centers (Cecati) and the Autonomous University of Guerrero (UAGro) to participate in cleaning brigades, according to a statement.
“The volunteers who are deployed in brigades to carry out cleaning tasks with other agencies of the federal Executive, and which have been carried out for three days in the municipality of Acapulco, were summoned by the head of the SEP to continue collaborating in a coordinated manner with the state educational authorities and the military personnel who are in the area,” said the Ministry of Public Education (SEP).
“First of all, we must prioritize the safety of all girls, boys and adolescents. If you see a school that has any type of risk for the children, for the teachers, for the community, you have to report it, because that school cannot return to classes,” Delgado told the volunteers.
He reported that public servants from the Undersecretary of Higher Secondary Education (SEMS) participate in these actions; program The School is Ours (LEN), as well as the Administration and Finance Unit (UAF) of the SEP.
