The number of users at the Seoul Plaza Skating Rink exceeded 100,000 in just 33 days of opening.

The Seoul Metropolitan Government announced on the 23rd at 11:40 am on January 23 that the number of users of the Seoul Plaza Skating Rink this winter exceeded 100,000. The average number of users per day is about 3,122.

The total number of users this winter is expected to be about 150,000, which is more than last year’s 139,641. The number of users exceeded 100,000 in 33 days, 5 days earlier than last year’s 38 days, and the number of people taking skating classes was 1,980, four times more than the same period last year.

To celebrate exceeding 100,000 visitors, the city held a congratulatory performance by inviting figure skaters Jiyoung Hwang and Lee Raein from the Seoul Skating Federation.

In addition, a Seoul hoodie and key ring were given as souvenirs to a total of 5 people, from the 99,888th to the 100,002th visitor, including Moon Garang (24), the 100,000th visitor.

The Seoul Plaza Skating Rink, which opened on the 22nd of last month, will operate for 52 days until February 11th. Since its first opening in 2004, the usage fee has been 1,000 won.
