Seoul Dynasty and Los Angeles Valiant Release Entire Rosters: An Ominous Sign for the Overwatch League’s Future

If you needed a sign that the Overwatch League might not be returning for the 2024 season, this news and the previously released news about Seoul Dynasty is a perfect example.

Because after Dynasty announced it would release its entire roster and cut ties with players and staff, Los Angeles Valiant announced the same decision. The team has laid off all of its players and coaching staff, which likely means that whatever Overwatch competition is next year, it won’t pay off.

The people who have been released from the team are as follows:

Christopher “Jay” Smith
Nolan “Paintbrush” Edwards
William “Lyle” Olstein
Domenic “Klavi” Aklawi
Brandon “NOS” Zepeda
Alex “Seeker” Taylor
Owen “Urzo” McGowan
James “Faustus” Frye

There is no word yet on where these players will land in 2024.
