Seoul Considers Introducing Unlimited Use Commuter Pass for Public Transportation in Gyeonggi-do, Incheon-si, and Three Local Governments

The Seoul Metropolitan Government announced today (8th) that it is considering introducing an ‘integrated commuter pass’ that allows unlimited use of public transportation in Gyeonggi-do, Incheon-si, and three local governments.

The city of Seoul explained that it is considering issuing a commuter pass that allows unlimited use of public transportation in the city for a month by paying 50,000 to 70,000 won, as well as a pass for the elderly and foreigners.

The Seoul Metropolitan Government said yesterday (7th) that it met with other local governments and transportation authorities, including Incheon City, Gyeonggi Province, and KORAIL, to discuss plans.

The Seoul Metropolitan Government added that it is also considering a plan to use this commuter pass in metropolitan areas such as Gyeonggi-do and Incheon, and plans to announce it next week after final coordination between relevant agencies regarding the introduction of the pass.
