Pro car racer Seo Joo-won clarified the suspicion that he divorced his ex-wife Ah-geul-i (real name Kim Min-young) because of his affair, saying, “There are parts that are different from the facts.”
It is true that he met another woman before the divorce, but insisted that the divorce was negotiated due to differences in personality.
In an interview with private detective and YouTuber Cara Cula released on the 10th, Seo Joo-won insisted, “I have been in a state of divorce from Ageulli since March of last year.”
According to Seo Joo-won, the two roughly agreed to divorce in the early morning of March 3 last year. Seo Joo-won left the house after the agreement, and Ah-ri sent Seo Ju-won a property division agreement on the 11th of the same month, after a week.
However, Seo Joo-won could not accept the agreement and filed a divorce suit against Ah-geul. Calculating the market price of the real estate and corporate holdings, each requested a 50% split, and charged a total of 2.8 billion won to the right side. Regarding this, Joo-Won Seo explained, “I did not claim with the intention of receiving all 2.8 billion won. First of all, it is correct to proceed conservatively in the lawsuit, so I charged a high cost.”
It is said that on April 28, a month after the lawsuit, Ah-geul-ri contacted him saying that he would not divorce.
At the time, Seo Joo-won replied to Ah-geul, “Let’s leave the division of property to the judgment of the law,” but in October of that year, seven months after the lawsuit, he handed over all the shares of the apartment in the joint name to Ah-geul and received 700 million won.
Regarding his affair rumor, Seo Joo-won said, “It is wrong that I met another woman before the divorce,” but emphasized, “From my point of view, the family has already collapsed on March 3. It is not because of my affair.”
Previously, on the 11th of last month, Ah-geul-ri argued on YouTube that the family was destroyed due to Seo Ju-won’s affair.
He said that he tried to protect his family, but Seo Joo-won repeated the affair from the beginning of the newlyweds.
In addition, it became controversial by saying, “The legal compensation for my mental damage was tens of millions of won, and property division was another issue.”
