Sentul City’s explanation of Rocky Gerung’s subpoena regarding demolition of the house

PT Sentul City gave a subpoena to Rocky Gerung regarding the demolition of the house. Then what is Sentul City’s explanation for the case?

PT Sentul City’s attorney, Antoni, in a statement on Sentul City’s official website seen on Thursday (9/9/2021), said Sentul City has the full support of local villagers in plans to use the land. Antoni stated that residents support land use according to the master plan in the hope of creating jobs for residents of surrounding villages, such as areas that have been built in other villages.

Antoni also denied that there was a commotion in Bojong Koneng Village, Bogor Regency, which according to him was just a temporary act created by the speculators hired by the masses. He alleged it was deliberately made for speculators to control the land.

“These tie-dated speculators are taking over the land for the purpose of owning and controlling the land,” said Antoni.

Antoni explained that after his party did a mapping of PT Sentul City’s assets, it turned out that there were several illegal buildings in the form of villas and/or houses that were built outside the native Bojong Koneng community, in terms of the people of Bojong Koneng often called the tie community.

“After we carried out the mapping, we re-socialized the tie-dated community about the ownership of the land owned by us. We have even conveyed subpoenas 1, 2, and 3 to inform them that we will immediately use the land, and to immediately clean up and leave the land. They don’t care. We ask them to explain on the basis of what rights they occupy our land? There is no response,” said Antoni.
