PT Sentul City Tbk (Company) has agreed to sell AEON Mall Sentul City to PT AEON Mall Indonesia at a price of Rp 1.9 trillion. The agreement took place on April 15, 2021. Part of the proceeds from the sale will be used to pay off loans or debts.
“We are grateful that the acquisition process can run smoothly,” said President Commissioner of PT Sentul City Tbk, Basaria Panjaitan in a press statement, Monday (19/4/2021).
The acquisition or sale of AEON Mall Sentul City worth Rp 1.9 trillion was signed by President Director of PT Sentul City (BKSL) Tjetje Muljanto, Director of PT Sentul City Iwan Budiharsana, and President Director of PT AEON Mall Indonesia Daisuke Isobe at Marketing Gallery Sentul City, Jalan MH Thamrin, Kav 8, Sentul City, Babakan Madang, Bogor Regency.
According to Basaria, the process of selling land and buildings occurred because AEON Japan as an investor through PT AEON Mall Indonesia sees very good business prospects in the Sentul City residential area.
For the company itself, he said, the proceeds from the sale would be used to pay off a loan to PT Bank BNI Tbk (BBNI) amounting to Rp 900 billion.
Basaria said, the proceeds from the sale also significantly reduce the company’s liabilities. In addition, the mall sales contributed significantly to the Company’s financial performance in the second quarter of 2021.
“And of course it really helps our cash flow,” he explained.
