Lawyer Mārtiņš Kreiksis, who was a close friend of the murdered lawyer Pavel Rebenok, turns out to have been sentenced to two years in prison many years ago. He was convicted at the time by the now influential lawyer Romualds Vonsovičs, the portal writes Jauns.lv.
In 2014, the portal Jauns.lv wrote that at the end of the eighties, during the Soviet era, the lawyer Mārtiņš K Grieķis was tried according to three articles of the Criminal Code of that time – Article 142, Paragraph 2, Article 193 and the first part of Article 2018. These articles relate to fraud, extortion, and the possession or carrying of firearms, which is why he would not be able to become a sworn lawyer, Jauns.lv.

What specific actions the Greek had taken against Lawrence, Vonsovich did not comment on the portal in detail, on the pretext of the age of the event.
