Sentenced to 15 years in prison for assault
A 40-year-old man from Oslo has been sentenced by the Oslo District Court to 15 years in prison for sexually abusing a number of children.
He has been convicted of, among other things, rape of children under 14, sexual intercourse with children between 14 and 16 and the purchase of sexual services from minors.
The prison sentence is in line with the allegation that the prosecutor dropped.
The man is also sentenced to pay between 75,000 and 175,000 in compensation to a total of 25 people.
The verdict states that the man has exploited the girls “in a cynical and ruthless way”. He has been found guilty of persuading young girls to perform sexual acts with himself on Snapchat, in many cases for a fee.
The man has always claimed his innocence. It is not known if he will appeal the verdict from the district court.
