Public information shows that Tang Xiaoou was born in Anshan, Liaoning, and graduated from the University of Science and Technology of China in 1990; he received a master’s degree from the University of Rochester in the United States in 1991; he received a doctorate from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1996, and then entered the Information Engineering Department of the Chinese University of Hong Kong as a professor.
