SUZAKU Games is already working on a sequel to Sense: A Cyberpunk Ghost Story, although it will follow an anthology style.
At the moment, only the appearance of the PC version seems particularly clear, because eastasiasoft (they are not described in a grocery store-like way, but really have lowercase names… well, someone find logic in this) will be implemented later this month. On the one hand, we don’t know when the console versions will come, and on the other hand, we can only guess on which platforms the three-dimensional survival horror may appear (PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch?).
According to the publisher, Kaho Uesugi is an adventurous college student who is often away from home and also a member of her school’s occult research club. Returning to Japan to visit her family, the other club members challenge Kaho to investigate an infamous urban legend. This would be the midnight door of the Ikekuburo walking park. He takes on the challenge to confirm the existence of the legend: he wants to collect evidence of the paranormal, but entering the long-abandoned park may be the worst mistake of his life.
The classics of the genre inspired SENSEs: Midnight. The 3D survival horror has tank-like controls (to be clear: the first three Resident Evil originals had this in the late 90s) and has fixed camera positions (same for the three REs). The secrets of the park can be learned with the help of storytelling through the environment and the background story. The inventory will be limited, so you have to be careful not to go back and forth all the time. There will be risky puzzles with high stakes, because completing them can attract the attention of souls hungry for revenge. Then you have to hide, and you can only safely save your game in one place, where the merciless Onryo will constantly be on your trail.
SENSES: Midnight is scheduled for July 22 on PC (Steam) is already showing up, but unspecified consoles can expect it only at a later, as yet unknown time.
