The expectation is growing, and also the hope, around the case of Saman Abbas, the 18th disappeared in Reggio Emilia in the night between 30 April and 1 May. The young girl, who ran away from home to take refuge in a community after her family had imposed an arranged marriage on her, it was in her home that she had returned that dramatic night. He wanted to recover his documents, with which he could start a new life.

But this did not happen. And if currently the most accredited hypothesis for some time is that of a murder committed against him by his family, the same one who would have made her return home by deception, her boyfriend will take care of the waters, il 21enne pakistano Ajud Saquib, according to which his girlfriend would still be alive.
According to the hypothetical reconstructions of the prosecution, after the escape the girl was lured home with a trap hatched by her mother: “Please come back. We are dying “, he texted her, only to be killed.
From the security cameras of the farm where the parents worked, you can see the mother, father and uncle with a shovel in hand go back and forth. But of Saman, once back in the house, not even the shadow. Nobody saw the girl succeed, which is why, after the video, the worst was feared.

“Saman is alive, they keep her prisoner”
Saman’s instinctive reaction is even more understandable when read in light of the fact that, the 18-year-old, she already had a boyfriend. It is, as mentioned earlier, the 21enne pakistano Ajud Saquib. The two had met on TikTok, and then met for the first time in person at the Bologna station. A love at first sight, which wanted to be sealed, respecting the respective traditions, with a marriage.
The young boy feels that his girlfriend is still alive: “My heart tells me and my head tells me”, he confided, only to add “I dream of her every night, a prisoner behind bars or in a small room. She cries, she always cries, and says to me: love, help me … In my opinion she is alive, kept segregated somewhere by her uncle Danish from her cousin Nomanhullaq. Which, not surprisingly, are nowhere to be found exactly like Saman’s parents ”.
Murder or imprisonment?
In fact, there is no trace of the parents. Only one family member, 28-year-old Ikram Ijaz, was arrested on May 28 in Nimes, France. There is also no news of his uncle Danish and Nomanhulaq, the other cousin. Towards Pakistan, where Saman’s parents are currently located, an arrest warrant was issued for the couple as well as an international rogatory. The only one in the family to remain in Italy is Saman’s 16-year-old brother who is currently in a protected community.
During the interrogation, the 18-year-old’s brother did not want to say a word about the parents. And on the fate of her sister, if at first she simply said that she had run away, she then accused her uncle Danish of killing her.
And it is precisely in the place where the uncle is located that one could articulate even the slightest hope. Maybe he escaped and took Saman with him and locked her up somewhere.
But the real element that gives hope is the fact that the searches of the young woman’s body, for which Ticinese dogs specialized in the smell of decaying corpses are being used, they have not given positive results. Fortunately.
All that remains is to hope for how much, in this case, it is necessary to remain anchored with your feet on the ground.
