The high school girls benefited from reinforcements: Angélique, director of Colruyt and mother of Emmy, Patty, store employee, Ayse-Nur and Emmy, the high school girls behind the project, and Lola, Emmy’s sister.
High school girls Emmy and Ayşe-Nur distributed pancakes and collected donations for their association Les Enfants d’Or this Saturday, February 4, 2023 at the Colruyt supermarket in favor of children hospitalized at the Center Hospitalier de Sens.
Emmy and Ayşe-Nur found their way to Sens Vocational High School in 1time ASSP (Accompaniment, Care and Services to the Person). Both adore human contact and did not hesitate to create the association Les Enfants d’Or as soon as the school year began in September 2022 as part of their “masterpiece”, work to be presented to an examination jury at the baccalaureate.
Their project is intended to raise funds and donations of toys for children hospitalized at the Center Hospitalier de Sens. “Children mean a lot to me” says Ayşe-Nur who wants to go to nursing school and work in a pediatric ward. “The smile of children especially” adds Emmy is aiming for the same professional project. “If it happens, we will go to the same school together” rejoices in advance Emmy. They also hope that their association Les Enfants d’Or will be taken over by the students who will succeed them in this ASSP section.
The young girls were welcomed by the Colruyt store last Saturday to offer pancakes to customers and had provided them with a kitty. They had already carried out several actions before, in particular a sale of hot chocolates in high school thanks to which they collected nearly 200€.
Today, high school girls are “well surrounded” as Emmy says, in relation to town halls, firefighters or parents of students. Today they wish to bring visibility to Les Ailes de Gaby, an association which aims to improve the comfort of hospitalized children and their families and which also works in favor of research. Emmy and Ayşe-Nur being minors, this organization will ensure the collection and transfer of donations to the hospital.
